Handgun Hunting Afield is LIVE!

Just over a year ago I retired as the owner of Bayside Custom Gunworks. I specialized in building custom hunting handguns for people all over the USA. I wanted to continue to share my handgun hunting experiences in the field to include gear, hunting practices, western hunting, and more.

I struggled with wether or not I should submit articles for publication, forums, or a combination of the above. Forums are cluttered with misinformation and after a short while the information or experiences are buried in the archives. On the other side with printed publications there may be pressure to present a topic or product in a particular light. By going this route with a blog I am free to represent topics or products as I would like to, which means I can give me complete honest opinion and don’t have to beat around the bush.

I hope that by investing the time in blogging what I am doing in the field with handguns in the pursuit of game that I can help the new and upcoming handgun hunters. Hopefully they can learn from my mistakes and maybe grab some useful information from my successes.

I will begin with a series of catch up blogs about my prep for 2023 hunting season and continue blogging into the future. I have a pocket full of tags to document.

Previous Bayside Custom Gunworks Blogs are still on the web at bcg964.Wordpress.Com
