Pocket Reload by: Corey Burton

Tuff Products for concealed carry

A few weeks ago, I was searching for a better way to carry a few extra rounds to the field for my Ruger Single Six 32 H&R. Loose ammo in your pocket gets dirt and lint and everything else you don’t want mixed in with it, and is not as quick if you need a reload. Speed loaders tend to be a bit bulky. Plastic ammo boxes work for the range and for storage but tend to be noisy in the field. Strips are great, but they are only offered in a few popular cartridges; 32 not being one of them. My search led me to Tuff Products.

Tuff Products

Tuff Products offers a wide range of outdoor gear and accessories, including what they call Quickstrips. The Quickstrip is exactly what I was looking for! They are available in orange or black, five round or six rounds, and just about any cartridge, so you can take a spare reload or two just about anywhere. They come in a pack of two and with the optional carrying pouch, you can easily carry two loaded Quickstrips wherever you go.

On the Range

In the evenings, I like to walk out back and shoot a few rounds before the sun sets. I typically carry my ammo in a plastic ammo box or grab a handful and carry in my pocket. My plastic boxes are usually in my bulky range tote and like I mention above, ammo in my pocket is a mess. I find Quickstrips are an easy tool to carry a few reloads for my revolvers without the bulk.

In the Field

I’ve also been carrying these Quickstrips in the field squirrel hunting or just walking around the woods and farm. Two loaded strips in the pouch make a reload quick and easy and keeps the dirt and leaves out of my ammo. A Quickstrip is also easier to grab and use to reload a revolver while wearing gloves.

Every Day Carry

I try to stay out of town, but the occasional need arises, and I always take my S&W 432 UC with me. I have speed loaders, but they tend to be bulky and not as easy to conceal. Quickstrips are flat, taking up minimal space, and can easily be stored in a pants or coat pocket.

These strips have been a great addition to my revolver gear, giving me a great way to bring along extra ammo for any occasion. Check out Quickstrips and other Tuff Products for yourself at Tuffproducts.com.
