HS6 in the revolvers….
Quote from Guest on June 25, 2025, 8:22 pmAnybody have luck with HS6 powder in 357, 44 special, and 44magnum? Its a medium power powder from what I’ve read. Not necessarily looking for top level loads in these guns
gonna try it sometime in my 357 blackhawk, 44 special flat top, and bisley super Blackhawk.
I’ve loaded 2400 for max loads in my redhawk for yrs, and I’m gonna save what I have for that gun. it’s great in it.

Quote from GuyM on June 26, 2025, 7:57 pmHaven’t used HS6, but Titegroup, W231/HP-38, Unique all produce very nice mid-power loads.
1000 fps or thereabouts with 240 – 255 gr bullets. Very nice, still more powerful than a 45 ACP and quite useful with the right bullets.
I’ve done a couple of articles on that level of load.
