Handgun Hunting Afield’s Growth

We NEED your INPUT!

HHA has grown quite a bit. We have a Facebook business page with almost 4k followers, a FB group pushing 2k, a YouTube channel, and this blog.

It looks that we have what appears to be the largest reach in the handgun hunting community.

Handgun Hunting Afield was started when I retired from Bayside Custom Gunworks. During my time there I was a founding member of Handgun Hunter’s Competition which is the largest gathering of handgun hunters in the USA.

At BCG I also did a good bit of product testing and review for various companies.

Handgun Hunter’s Competition continues to grow and grow our sport which in turn gives us a reach into the manufactures think tanks that design products we want.

Handgun Hunting Afield is looking for input from you the follower on where we should go next!

1. Several have brought up the idea of a discussion forum. If this is something you would want to see comment bellow…

2. Group hunts. HHA could organize handgun hunting group hunts from vermin to big game. If this is something that you want to see comment bellow….

3. Additional writers for the blog. Are you interested in publishing your handgun hunting experience? You don’t have to be an “expert”. It’s a chance to share your thoughts and ideas. Reach out to me at bcgunworks@gmail.Com

HHA will continue doing product reviews and several are in the works. If you produce a product you would like to have reviewed contact me! HHA charges ZERO!

Your comments are important for directing the growth of Handgun Hunting Afield.

Happy Hunting💥

I think a forum would be very useful for the community

A podcast would also be a good way to grow HHA

I would like to see HHC have competitions scattered around the USA. Like affiliated clubs putting on these competitions to make them more accessible to others and to hopefully build the excitement.

I would love to see group hunts and forums can be great for communicating.

Out of the comments on here, social, and email I can say group hunts are in the future🔥

    1. I think forums may be a dying thing unfortunately. It is too easy to hit all the high spots by clicking on social media.
    2. The idea of groups hunts deffinately appeal to me. My time is severely limited since I took over opperation of the companyl. I have been know to “make time” to go hunt.
    3. I deffinatly would be interested in writing for the blog.

Personally, I believe forums are outdated but I’ve also just never really been into them. That being said, I like Facebook and that’s out dated! I would really like to see group hunts come together! Honestly, alot of this seems like what HHI is working to do. Not necessarily a bad thing as I really like seeing the activity and enthusiasm surrounding handgun hunting.

We have a reach that others don’t into the industry from my professional career. The product review requests roll in and after posting this the outfitters contacting offering group rates started almost immediately.

Going off the social media, blog, messages, and emails it sounds like…..

    Group hunts are wanted!
-this we can do and probably start in 2024

A few have reached out wanting to write for the blog
-these persons who emailed me have been given instruction on how to…..more are welcome to reach out.

There is not enough feedback for a forum. Forums are essentially dead. Modern social media is easier for most to navigate. Long discussion can take place on blog posts in the same manor as a forum

Handgun Hunting Afield will continue to bring more content. And it will remain completely free for product reviews, viewers, and so on as long as possible.

HHA will not profit on group hunts in any way….we will just do our best to negotiate the best rate and sets some dates!
